What is Provisioning?

Provisioning is a process of adding a new resource into the system. The resource could be People, Places or Things. People include roles like Employer, Driver, Line Manager, Shift Manager, Transport Desk Manager, Operator and Employer.

Things include resources like Vehicle and Sites. The MOOVE web application allows to Provision of new Vehicles and Sites. Resources can be provisioned individually or bulk provisioned via importing/ ingesting provisioning data.

As an example, Bulk Provisioning of Employees can be done by Ingesting / uploading a Roster. The user (Employer, Line Manager) can upload the .csv file in required format with the new entries to be provisioned and the same will be provisioned in bulk.

The journey map below captures the time sequence of events related to a Resource, from provisioning to its eventual retirement and deletion / purging from the system.
